How to build the internet of value through exchanges, wallets and cryptographic protocols? You will find the answer thanks to the speech of Pierre Noizat, CEO of Blockchain.io – a new exchange dedicated to crypto-trading that will offer a wide range of functionalities and services and strive to become the most trustworthy « Gateway To The Internet Of Value » in Europe and beyond by 2020.
Tell us about what you are doing now?
I am currently the CEO and Co-Founder of paymium.com, one of the very first bitcoin/euro exchange in the world founded in 2011. Based on our extensive expertise of running an exchange we decided this year to launch a new exchange entirely dedicated to crypto-currency trading named blockchain.io. This exchange will strive to become the leader in Europe and beyond by 2020, offerings services such as decentralized settlement, extensive ICO & liquidity services as well as peer-to-peer lending and margin trading.
How was the last year, what worked well, what didn’t move as quickly as you would have liked?
It was globally a very good year for the ecosystem and for our company. I can outline two major points:
- the rise of bitcoin price that largely contributed to build awareness through media, even if news quality was very heterogenous. the first step towards regulation in EU that will legitimate our business and reinforce adoption in the long term
- Despite some bumps with banking partnership in the end of year, Paymium achieved its second year of profitability and got its account certified by external auditors (which is unbelievably hard to get for an exchange dealing with crypto).
What are your plans for the future?
As I said, we are aiming at offering a trustworthy Gateway to « The Internet Of Value » with Blockchain.io. Our exchange will propose innovative functionalities while improving security protocols and protecting customers’ data to the best of our abilities.
What will you be talking about at this event?
I’ll be talking about building the Internet of value and its applications, through exchanges, wallets and cryptographic protocols.
What inspired you to attend it?
Chainges has been proactively looking for people’s opinion in order to create a unique genre of event. As a fierce defender of decentralization and peer-to-peer technologies I could only approve this process. Consensual methodology is always appreciable.
